The disability pension does not follow a single national schedule. Each CPAM sets its own payment dates, and the distinction between due term and term to come radically changes the month of fund receipt. Confusing the two means poorly anticipating one’s budget for the entire year.
Due term or term to come: the mechanism that shifts everything
The majority of CPAMs pay the disability pension at due term: the pension for January is paid out at the beginning of February. The CPAM of Bas-Rhin, on the other hand, operates on a term to come basis, with payment at the beginning of the month for the current month.

This difference in regime is never indicated in generic calendars. Yet it explains why two insured individuals in category 2 do not receive their transfer on the same day, even though they both fall under the general regime.
We recommend checking directly with your local fund for the applicable regime. The news page of the departmental CPAM on ameli.fr or the personal Ameli account remain the only reliable sources to confirm whether the payment is at due term or to come. Several funds have also started publishing their dates on social media, such as the CPAM of Var on X in February 2026.

CPAM Bas-Rhin Calendar 2026: payment dates to come
Bas-Rhin is one of the few departments whose complete calendar has been published. It serves as a good reference point for insured individuals under a term to come regime.
| Month concerned | Payment date |
|---|---|
| January 2026 | 05/01/2026 |
| February 2026 | 03/02/2026 |
| March 2026 | 03/03/2026 |
| April 2026 | 01/04/2026 |
| May 2026 | 05/05/2026 |
| June 2026 | 02/06/2026 |
| July 2026 | 01/07/2026 |
| August 2026 | 04/08/2026 |
| September 2026 | 01/09/2026 |
| October 2026 | 01/10/2026 |
| November 2026 | 03/11/2026 |
| December 2026 | 01/12/2026 |
| January 2027 | 05/01/2027 |
The dates consistently fall on a business day. When the 1st of the month is a Saturday or Sunday, the payment is postponed to the following Monday or Tuesday. This is the case in May 2026 (May 1st is a holiday, payment on the 5th) and in August 2026 (weekend, payment on the 4th).

Gap between payment date and credit to bank account
The payment date is not the bank credit date. The CPAM issues a transfer order on the date indicated in the calendar. The interbank processing time then adds one to three business days depending on the institution.
Online banks generally credit the account on the same day or the next day. Mutual networks or traditional banks sometimes apply an additional delay. This banking delay is the primary cause of reports of “late” payments on insured forums.
For months with consecutive holidays or long weekends, the gap can reach four to five calendar days between the official date and the actual credit. We observe that May, August, and November are the most problematic months each year.
Check the status of the transfer
The benefits statement on the Ameli account displays the effective payment date. If this date has passed by more than five business days without credit to the account, the issue lies with the bank or an unprocessed change of bank details.
- Check on the Ameli account that the registered bank details are up to date (an unreported change of address suspends the transfer until regularization)
- Contact the CPAM via secure messaging if no transfer order appears in the benefits statement
- Distinguish a banking delay (order issued, credit pending) from a CPAM delay (no order issued), as the recourse differs
Disability pension 2026: variations by fund and by regime
Not all CPAMs publish their payment calendar. Several departments do not release any official dates, forcing insured individuals to rely on the generic calendar or to contact their fund.
The MSA funds (agricultural regime) and the RSI (now integrated into the general regime via the SSI) apply their own payment calendars, which do not coincide with that of the CPAM. An insured individual under the MSA cannot rely on the dates published by ameli.fr for their disability pension.
Disability category and payment date
The disability category (1, 2, or 3) does not affect the payment date. All categories are paid on the same day for the same fund. The difference lies in the amount, not in the schedule.
However, the combination of a disability pension with part-time employment can lead to a temporary delay. The CPAM recalculates the amount of the pension based on declared income, and this recalculation can delay the payment for a given month without it constituting an administrative delay.

The most reliable way to know the exact date applicable to one’s situation remains the news page of the departmental CPAM on ameli.fr. For insured individuals who cannot find the information locally, thinking in business days from the first of the month provides a correct approximation in the vast majority of funds at due term.
